Juneathon

Forgive me, it’s been three days since my last Juneathon post.

Forgive me, it’s been three days since my last Juneathon post.

Where do I start with my confession? Well I have been jogging, just not the logging and blogging. Actually I have been logging my runs as I usually do on Fetcheveryone but for the moment the function that imports the data from Fetch into Running Free has to use the technical terms gone on the blink, gone a bit wonky. In other words it’s kaput, broken, damaged, defective, malfunctioning. Now might be good time to claim I’ve done a...

I’m a Duracell bunny

I’m a Duracell bunny

Long run today for Juneathon day 19. This was a lovely run. I’d initially planned to go for 9-10 miles, going for 45 minutes out along the Loughton Valley Park and then back again. I wanted to try and get to the Concrete Cows and back. A distance I’d estimated at about 10 miles. However, 45 minutes into my run I was nowhere near them, it felt like a bit of a failure to turn back at this point so I carried on, telling myself I would...

Did I or didn’t I run Milton Keynes parkrun?

Did I or didn’t I run Milton Keynes parkrun?

Saturday is parkrun day in our house, whether I’m running it, my husband is running or one of us is running it with Ami. Today nobody ran around Milton Keynes parkrun but I did run it. Confused? Well, then let me explain by way of the following tweet. Didn't run parkrun this morning. I was Race Director today, so technically I ran parkrun. Does that count as #Juneathon?June 18, 2011 12:19 pm via...

Juneathon run and bike

Juneathon run and bike

After last night’s hard run I decided to take is easy today. So I did a nice (well it was supposed to be nice but it still felt hard) 4 mile recovery run. I then jumped on my bike to fetch my youngest daughter from pre-school. I was a bit later so 2.3 miles of manic cycling later I arrived on time and then… Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. Cramp in my toes. I hobbled into pre-school, collected Izzy whilst trying to stretch my toes, hobbled back...

Wednesday night with the Striders

This evening’s run felt harder than it should have been. I’d also forgotten how fast the Wednesday night group was. I was averaging 9:08 minute miles and I was comfortably at the back with Steve, who was keeping me company, whilst the rest ran ahead and then kept looping back to me. Although the Garmin says I was running for 63 minutes I actually only spent about 59 minutes running as there was a fair bit of standing around after our...

Gone running…

Gone running…

That’s right. I’m out of here. Do not chase me down, text me or try to talk to me into going out to lunch. Missed phone calls can be returned later. I don’t have time to figure out if I have time for a run. I’m just going. The world will not fall apart in my absence. The building will still be standing when I get back. I might miss a discussion of last’s night Glee season finale. Even if I do, who cares. I’m...
